Dining & Reservations

Do I need a reservation, or do you accept walk-ins?

We happily accept both. Reservations are recommended for busy times, while walk-ins are always welcome when space is available.

While our Garden Café takes its seasonal rest, the Restaurant upstairs welcomes guests for dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Reserve your table for an evening of Italian-inspired dishes and warm hospitality.


How far in advance should I book a table?

For smaller groups, a few days ahead is usually enough. For larger parties or special occasions, we suggest booking earlier to secure your spot.


Do you accommodate large groups for dinner?

Yes! We welcome groups, and our team can help arrange seating and menu options to fit your needs.


Can I reserve seating in the Garden?

Yes, the Garden Café welcomes reservations from May through October. In winter, we stay open with cozy indoor seating available on a walk-in basis.


Is there a time limit for table reservations?

Generally no, but during peak hours we may set a reasonable time limit to ensure all guests can be accommodated comfortably.


Are children welcome at Benedetta?

Yes, in the Garden Café. The Restaurant and Cappella are 18+ for regular service, but all spaces welcome families for private events.

What type of food do you specialize in?

Our menus are rooted in Italian traditions. Fresh pastas, pizza al taglio, and panuozzos, a rustic Neapolitan-style sandwich made with pizza dough and baked in the oven, then filled with meats, cheeses, and vegetables.


Is your menu the same in the Restaurant and Garden Café?

No, the menus are tailored to each space. The Garden Café focuses on brunch, lunch, and casual evening dishes, while the Restaurant features Italian-inspired seasonal plates. For private events, we work with you to craft bespoke menus that bring your vision to life. Take a look at our menus here:

Can you accommodate specific allergies?

Absolutely. Please let us know in advance and our team will do their best to accommodate.


Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?

Yes! Our menus always include dishes for a variety of dietary preferences.


Do you offer late-night food in the speakeasy?

Cappella serves bouchées (small bites) until 11pm. After that, it’s all about cocktails, music, and dancing. We do offer bottle service though!

Do you have a kids’ menu?

While we don’t offer a dedicated kids’ menu, the Garden Café offers a selection of kid-friendly options that little ones enjoy.

Can I host a private event at Benedetta?

Yes! Our spaces are designed for celebrations, from weddings to birthdays to corporate gatherings.

You can choose from the upstairs Restaurant, the Garden Café, or Cappella (our speakeasy). Each has its own atmosphere, and they can also be combined for larger events.

It depends on the setup, whether it’s a seated dinner, cocktail reception, or standing party. We’ll work with you to find the best fit.

As a general guide:

  • Restaurant: 200 guests

  • Cappella Speakeasy: 150 guests

Do you provide catering for private events?

Yes. Our culinary team creates menus tailored to your event, from passed canapés to multi-course dinners.


Can I decorate the space or bring my own cake?

Of course. You’re welcome to personalize the space with your own decor and bring in a cake to celebrate.


Do you offer AV equipment or music setup for events?

Yes, we can provide sound equipment and help arrange music or entertainment for your event.

Garden Café

Is the Garden open year-round or only in spring/summer?

Yes, the Garden Café is open year-round! In winter, we stay cozy with limited indoor seating, while May through October we open the full outdoor garden space.


Can I reserve a table in the Garden, or is it first-come-first-served?

Reservations are available from May through October when the outdoor garden space is open. During winter months, the Garden Café operates on a walk-in basis with limited indoor seating.


Do you serve cocktails and dinner in the Garden, or just lunch?

The Garden Café is open from morning through evening, offering coffee, lunch, light dinner, and cocktails in a relaxed setting.

Is the Garden covered in case of rain?

Yes! Part of the Garden is sheltered so you can still enjoy the space in less-than-perfect weather.

How do I make a reservation at the Restaurant?

The Restaurant is open for reservations Wednesday through Saturday for dinner. Walk-ins are also welcome based on availability.


Is the Restaurant family-friendly?

The Restaurant is 18+ for dinner service. However, we love hosting families for private events!


Is the Restaurant wheelchair accessible?

We apologize that the Restaurant is not wheelchair accessible as it’s located on the second floor without elevator access. Our Garden Café and Cappella at street level are both fully accessible.


Can I book the Restaurant space for a private event?

Yes! The upstairs dining room can be reserved for weddings, corporate dinners, or any private celebration you’d like to host.

The Restaurant is a flexible space perfect for weddings, elegant seated dinners, cocktail parties, business gatherings and so much more.

What is the capacity of the Restaurant for seated dinners and standing receptions?

Capacity varies depending on the setup, from intimate dinners to larger standing receptions, we’ll help configure the room to fit your group. As a general guideline, we can accommodate up to 150 guests comfortably for seated dinner service.


Do you offer customized menus for private events in the restaurant?

Absolutely. Our chefs work closely with each host to design a unique menu that reflects your event and preferences.

Yes. Many guests enjoy pairing the upstairs Restaurant with the Garden or Speakeasy downstairs for a full Benedetta experience.

Cappella Speakeasy

How do I access the speakeasy?

Cappella is hidden downstairs where a secret entrance leads you into a lively, club-style atmosphere.

Once you find the entrance, leave a confession at the door for entry. Follow us on Instagram to see if yours makes our weekly selection of the best confessions, shared anonymously of course.

Do I need a reservation for Cappella?

Reservations aren’t required, but we recommend them for groups and special nights. Contact us to reserve your table.

Do you serve food in the speakeasy, or only cocktails?

Cappella serves bouchées (small bites) until 11pm. After that, the focus shifts to cocktails, music, and dancing, with beverages only. Bottle service is also available throughout the evening.

Is there a cover charge or dress code?

Most nights are free entry, though some special events require tickets. For ticketed events, you can purchase in advance through our events calendar or pay at the door if space is available.

While there’s no formal dress code, most guests choose to dress to impress—think stylish and ready for a night out.

Yes. Cappella is ideal for birthdays, after-parties, and exclusive private events with a late-night vibe.

Hours vary by space.

Garden Café:

Is Benedetta wheelchair accessible?

Most of our spaces, including the Garden Café, Cappella, and takeout windows, are accessible. Please note the upstairs restaurant is not wheelchair accessible at this time.


Do you have parking nearby?

Yes. There’s a parking lot right across the street at the Montreal Science Centre, as well as another nearby at 440 St-Laurent Blvd.


What are the nearest metro stations?

The nearest metro stations are Place-d’Armes and Champ-de-Mars.


Are you open year-round or seasonal?

Benedetta is open year-round, with the Garden Café outdoor space and our takeout windows running seasonally through the warmer months (May – October).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit, and cash.


What is your cancellation policy for reservations?

For small bookings, we ask that you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. For private events, cancellation terms will be outlined in your event agreement.
